Cedar Plank Grilled Salmon Recipe

Grilling salmon on cedar planks is an excellent way to impart a smoky flavor. The plank also keeps the salmon moist while preventing it from sticking to the grill. This recipe is straightforward and requires only a few ingredients, but the end result is a delectable and impressive meal.

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 15 minutes
  • Total Time: 25 minutes

Instructions

  • Soak the cedar plank for at least 1 hour in water.
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high.
  • Brush both sides of the salmon fillets with olive oil.
  • Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
  • Close the lid and place the soaked cedar plank on the grill.
  • Allow the cedar plank to warm up for 5 minutes.
  • Place the salmon fillets on the cedar plank, skin side down.
  • Serve salmon with lemon slices and fresh dill on top.
  • Close the lid and cook the salmon for 12-15 minutes, or until done to preference.
  • Remove the cedar plank from the grill with care and serve the salmon fillets on the plank.
